Join us in fostering kindness and community connections through engaging cultural experiences. Each of our events will include a lens into different cultures and experiences along with conversation to get to know each other better. We build stronger community in Saline, Michigan.

What is Building Bridges?

Building Bridges to a Brighter Tomorrow is a passionate, community-driven initiative dedicated to fostering kindness, love, and acceptance for all.

Events in the series will happen every 4-6 weeks throughout Saline and will feature a different medium through which to experience cultural and personal experiences. Each gathering will happen at a different community location and will feature small group discussions that help us get to know each other better.

Organizers will request a typical donation of $5 per person (subject to change pending material costs). The businesses who are hosting or providing food are doing so partly as a donation to the effort of Building Bridges in our community; please thank them and support them!

  • Time: 3:00 pm

  • Location: Fine Print Bookshop, 109 E. Michigan Avenue, Saline, MI

  • Activity: We'll read and enjoy poetry from different cultural traditions. It is Black History Month, so we'll include black authors. We're working on a guest speaker to join us!

  • Come ready to share about your experience with poetry - what you first thought of it and what your experience with it now is like. You can even bring a favorite poem! If you write poetry, bring one to share with the group!

  • Registration is open! Donation for this event is $5 per person, online or at the door. Refreshments will be provided.
