We host events and foster small groups to build the community connections needed for stronger relationships. Please see our event section for upcoming opportunities.

Sometimes we request a small donation at events to cover the cost of refreshments and event space. We are deeply grateful for local businesses who donate food or space for our work.

Saline’s Building Bridges movement is holding its second book study. Do you wish that you knew how to move forward and make a difference in our society today? Are you wondering what kind of a role you might play? This book study is for you.

Deepa Iyer is a South Asian American writer, lawyer, and advocate for justice. She has spent more than 15 years in policy advocacy and coalition building in the wake of the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States.

In her book, published in 2022, she developed a model of 10 roles people embody as they work for social justice in their communities and the world, called the social change map. Through exploration of the roles and questions for reflection and discussion, she helps each of us consider who we are and who we want to be.

Please join us for this amazing group! It meets on Sunday afternoons at 2 pm, starting September 28th and concluding November 23rd, skipping October 12 & November 9. You may order your book easily through Saline's local bookstore, Fine Print Bookshop on E. Michigan Avenue.
